Q: How do I submit?

A: For the September meeting in Suzhou, China, interested members should submit a 250-word abstract (or address any questions) to 13381089113@126.com or GSA staff member Jilan Chen at jchen@geron.org.

Q: What language will be used at the conferences?

A: The Chinese Congress on Gerontology and Health Industry will be convened in Chinese, except for some of the keynote speeches. Participants will be assigned to different sessions based on their research topics.

Q: How will the GSA member representatives be selected?

A: All submitted abstracts will be reviewed by the Conference Organizing Committee and the final decision will be made based on the research quality and diversity of the member representatives.

Q: I’m a student member. Am I eligible to apply?

A: Yes. This opportunity is open to any current GSA member.

Q: What are the suggested topics?

A: Please refer to the Call for Abstracts for details.

Q: Are there any specific requirements relating to abstracts?

A: Titles are limited to a total of 100 characters (including spaces). Submitters are required to provide at least two specific and measurable objectives for their abstract. For example, “After attending this session, participants will be able to define…” The abstract text is limited to 250 words. To be accepted for presentation, abstracts based on empirical research projects must report actual results, not promised results.

Q: Can I submit an abstract for research that has already been published or presented?

A: No; submissions should contain research that was not published or presented before.

Q: Do I have to be a GSA member to submit an abstract?

A: Yes; your membership must be current at the time of the conference.

Q: Can I attend these conferences if I do not submit an abstract?

A: Yes.
